Do you know which is the numero uno vector-based design and animation technology on the Internet? I'm sure many of you have heard about it - It's Flash.

Adobe Flash is an "interactive multimedia environment with which you can generate artwork", and what i'm trying to say is that it allows you to create movies that contain assorted types of media: interactive elements, motion graphics and still graphics and sound. Flash is also designed to deal with a a scripting language to to take charge of the correlation between cinematic elements. For shaping interactive multimedia Flash had put on our disposal many tools.
One of the main issue that preoccupy many web designers is the obligation to maintain image file sizes teeny which in turn is correlated to bandwidth. Flash manipulates a reserved image reproduction, rather than using bitmaps it uses vector graphics. Vector graphics are controlled by mathematical functions to spawn the silhouette. Less information has to be saved and the file sizes are shortened with vector graphics than with bitmaps. A vector sketching program will bring together a graphic figure by assigning the points that synthesize the shape rather than specifying one pixel by one (as is the context of programs with which you create bitmaps).

Flash comes with a scripting language and a programming interface. To allow the developer to program behaviors of the graphics and animations Flash supports a language that is familiar with JavaScript; known as AS3. ActionScript has been used to develop interactive multimedia content that ranges from something as simplistic as a general website to something as perplexing as a front-end database. Aside from the fact that with ActionScript you can execute PHP, cgi or even javascript, at the same time you can receive and send XML data. The programming interface has made Flash an application for forging enterprising productivity software and not just eye-candy.
No doubt you have runed into many Flash components that are XML driven but you do not comprehend what exactly does that mean. The Extensible Markup Language or by short - XML was originally thought up as a language for specifing brand-new file formats for the World Wide Web. XML can be distinguished to be a meta-language: a language for specifing markup languages .XML are text-based formats that supply mechanisms for expressing document constructions using markup tags. Web developers may acknowledge some connection between XML and HTML, the reason is that both languages are originated from SGML. Now that you know what is XML, a Flash component controlled by it can be configured with a simple text editor.

If you surf some webpages you can visualize Flash and there's a good reason for that - Flash plucks the attentivenes of the webpage visitors; so it makes sense to adopt Flash seeing that approximately 100% of those who surf over the internet already have the Adobe Flash Player installed on their own computer. With Flash you can build even more credibility in the eyes of your viewers.. Take my advice and bring your webpage to life, after all there is so much you can do with Flash like adding text, buttons, animation and even images, giving your website visitors an event they can't get enough off.
